A Page from My Notebook.
So here’s a rant that I wrote in my notebook while in class. I’m writing it here just as it appears on the paper. No corrections, no adjustments.

“A social life means you’re gonna get upset and it’s gonna give you problems.” -Dad
It’s good to have friends, but don’t make them your life. You have your own life and you have to make your own decisions in order to get where you want to be. Bring it on life, bring it on.
As my BESTFRIEND’S facebook page says, “The hardest thing in life is knowing which bridges to cross, and which bridges to burn.” The world may know that I have burned many, many bridges. And a bestfriend (AKA: Marlo Garate) had to slap me in the face to realize that. But I also realize which bridges I want to cross, which people I treasure as parts of my life, fights or not. It takes time to heal from a fight, and sometimes you realize decide that it’s just not worth the effort to make ammends. If you try once, and they don’t accept, give it time, and try again. If they still don’t do their part, then let it go. Burn that bridge; let it go. You know that you have done your part, & it was they who didn’t accept. Leave it be, it’s their loss. Let it go. The true friends, the ones we can even consider “family”, will not let you go.
We have come to the point in our lives when we have to learn to let go. Thoughout childhood, we learn to trust and love everyone who comes our way… But those were the 90’s. Tough luck now.
We’re growing up. And I need to get where I want to go.
